| The 3D exploded drawing of a simple camera is seen below. Each of the parts / components are in line with each other, at an angle of 30 degrees (ISOMETRIC). 3D versions of exploded drawings are often more difficult to draw, because they tend to be more complex and more skill, than 2D drawings. |

| Isometric paper is very useful when drawing in 3D. The provides guidelines that help keep all the parts / components at the right angle. The lines are a combination of equally spaced 30 degree and vertical lines. |
