To help you design your emblem / logo it is very important to study Olympic Emblems of the past. Look carefully at the samples below. The most successful symbols are normally ones that are simple and not complex, they have symbols that are easily recognisable and limit the number of colours. Alongside each of the emblems, name the country and describe each design - for example, what the shapes and pictures represent. The older emblems are more difficult to describe, the more up to date are simplified and consequently easy to understand.
