LESSON STARTED/EXERCISE - SAFETY

When attempting the safety sheet pupils are to produce simple diagrams to help illustrate the information they display. The exercise below is to introduce pupils to the numerous symbols they are likely to encounter on packaging and products.
EITHER:
1. Give each pupil a symbols sheet (A3) and ask them quickly to identify / estimate what each of the symbols represents. Swap pages for marking.
or
2. Cut up the sheet and laminate each symbol. Divide the class into groups and ask each to identify 4or 4 symbols.
