There are many examples of Portable storage units / devices. These can be
seen around our homes and workplaces and are often used for hobbies. The
work and exercises on the following pages are concerned with their design
and manufacture. A range of materials are used in their manufacture from
traditional woods with traditional joints or ‘knock down’ joints to
plastic based products manufactured through processes such as injection
