| The storage unit is manufactured from MDF. This has been sealed with specific MDF liquid sealer. After drying, the MDF has been professionally spray painted, giving a smooth gloss finish. The unit is available in a range of colours. MDF is cheap and can be cut, shaped and finished relatively easily. The various parts are joined together with dowels and PVA glue. Each shelf is also secured by additional screws. The storage system arrives to the customer flat packed, ready for construction. | |

| Once glued together, the unit is quite strong, although if it is knocked over, the joints may come apart or be damaged. With normal use, the storage unit just last for many years. Although tall, if the unit is placed against a wall, it should be stable and unlikely to be knocked over. | |
