Some people have a severe reaction to eating
nuts or any food containing nuts. Nut allergy is a recognised medical
condition, particularly in children and on rare occasions it can kill. |

|
The symbol below identifies the food contained within its packaging as being suitable for vegetarians. A simpler version exists which consists of a ‘tick’ within a circle. This example is more interesting because the tick is part of a smiling face. |
||
|
Design a symbol / logo that clearly identifies the food contents of a package as suitable for vegetarians. Also draw an alternative symbol for ‘nut free zone’. Your designs should be an improvement on the existing symbols. Consider the colour scheme very carefully and keep your design for each symbol simple and clear. |
