IMPROVING STAFF TRAINING

Improving staff training means that staff are more efficient on the production line, in the offices including marketing staff. This will lead to product and sales improvements. Although it is costly to spend time training staff, in the end it means the company makes more money as it is more efficient and the staff feel valued. Better job satisfaction is the result of good training and employees tend to be loyal to the company that employs them.

IMPROVING THE PRODUCT

If the product is continually improved by the designers it should become more efficient and have a better level of performance. Workers on the production line are encouraged to suggest improvements to the product they are making. The boomerang shown below has been improved so that it is more accurate.
Customers are also interviewed regularly as to any improvements that can be made to the product. This is a continuous process.

The design team constantly seek to update and improve the design so that its performance is improved. This may involve constant scientific research such as improving the materials used or the style/shape of the product. Often research scientists will work with the design team.
