CHARACTERISTICS OF AN HONEST PERSON
Tells the truth when a question is asked.
Says what he/she thinks and believes to be right, even when his/her friends disagree.
Admits that he/she is not always right.
He/she is strong enough to tell others that they are wrong.
He/she never steals.

1. Write one more characteristic of an honest person:

Below are a number situations. Read the situations carefully and write down (underneath each situation) what an honest person should do.

2. Jeff is a Year 8 pupil. Yesterday he went into the dinning hall to buy his lunch. His lunch normally costs £1.55. The cashier was distracted because she was busy and undercharged him by 50 pence. What should he do?

3. Jeff is playing in the school playground when he sees a member of his form bullying a younger pupil. The younger pupil starts crying because his money has been taken off him. The bully offers Jeff half the money if he does not tell anyone about what he has witnessed. What should he do?

4. Jeff goes home after the end of school with a bag full of homework, to be completed by the next day. His parents greet him at home with the news that they have tickets to see his favourite football team. They also say that if he has homework to do they will take his disabled best friend who happens to live next door. What should he do?
