QUALITY MARK

The W.A.T.T Quality Mark operates in a similar way to the kite mark system and is applied to educational Design and Technology websites. It is simply a mark of quality that can be displayed with schemes of work or project work. It demonstrates that a scheme of work/project has been internally assessed through the use of a criteria set out by the World Association of Technology Teachers. The majority of the criteria should have been met before sending an email to watt@teacher.com. The email should describe the nature of the work internally assessed, the name and location of the school. The quality mark can then be applied as there is no need to wait for a reply. The internal assessment will be recorded by W.A.T.T.

Benefits: During inspections it is important to show that departmental schemes/projects/documentation etc....have been thoroughly researched and if possible assessed internally and that all members of a department have had the opportunity to contribute.

Application for a W.A.T.T. Quality Mark is straightforward and free.

As soon as the scheme/project has been internally assessed, the quality mark can be displayed with pride.

If you use the assessment sheets please consider joining W.A.T.T. (Click on members above for details - membership is free).
