The symbol opposite is placed on the packaging of products that are manufactured to a guaranteed quality. It is normally seen on the packaging of quality tools and equipment.

This means that the product is precision made or manufactured to a high degree of accuracy.

A good example of a quality manufactured product is the windup torch seen below. This type of product is  manufactured to a high degree of accuracy and is used by people who wish to save energy and reduce their use of batteries.

The person using the torch below has taken ‘saving the environment’ to extremes. He only wears natural materials for his clothes, recycles as much as he can and believes that living in harmony with the environment is important.

2. List five energy saving, eco-friendly devices and explain how they are used and how they save energy.

A. A trade name for the windup torch.
B. All appropriate symbols. For example, safety symbols, eco-friendly symbols, quality guaranteed symbol bar codes etc......
