These are inks / paints that produce an aroma when scratched. They are popular in ‘scratch and sniff’ products, such as perfume samples etched into women’s magazines. The reader scratches the sample aroma pigment, releasing an aroma matching the selected perfume.

Scratch and sniff stickers have been available for sometime. They are useful in certain circumstances. For instance, the fresh sent of a forest can be released by rubbing an aroma sticker, creating a pleasant environment for a meeting. Aroma stickers are available in a range of scents, to suit almost all requests.

Imagine you are trying to sell a fresh food product. Scratching an aroma sticker saturated with the products aroma, whilst talking to a customer, could help promote the food product.

Imagine you are a car salesman, trying to sell a second hand car. When talking to a potential buyer, simply scratch an aroma sticker saturated with the scent of new leather. This will help create the right atmosphere for a sale. The car will smell new and clean, as if straight from the factory. It will create the best possible sales atmosphere, in which to convince a potential customer that this is the right car for them.
At a Sales Meeting, the speaker releases an aroma by rubbing the aroma pigment sticker on his chest. This releases a natural scent, similar to a flower garden. This helps relax those attending the meeting. It also convinces the salesmen, that using aroma pigmented stickers, will help them relax their potential customers. The aroma emitted by a sticker may help persuade a potential customer to buy a product.

The scent is held in millions of micro-spheres. They are absorbed by a suitable pigment / ink / paint, which is them printed/painted on the surface of the sticker. When the ink / paint on the aroma sticker is rubbed or scratched, the spheres burst, allowing the scent to escape and float in the atmosphere. Aroma stickers of this type work many times, they can be reused.
If the micro-spheres are mixed with paint, the paint can be applied to almost any surface, just like any normal water based paint. If mixed with ink, they can be applied to any surface that takes ink, including paper and card.

The greetings card (a Christmas Card), has been printed with aroma pigment. When the popup tree is scratched, it emits the scent of pine trees.

The ‘coaster / beer mat’ looks like any other coaster. However, the picture on the coaster was been printed with an aroma pigment. When a glass is placed on the coaster it ‘rubs’ or scratches its surface. A pleasant ‘wine’ aroma is emitted. The aim is to encourage people to buy another glass of wine.

The coffee cup has a face with an ‘aroma sticker’ as its nose. When a coffee is taken to a customer, the waiter scratches the sticker. A coffee aroma is emitted, and continues long after the drink has been consumed. The aim is to encourage the customer to stay and have a second cup.
The aroma sticker peals off when required and can be replaced.
