Third angle orthographic drawing is a technique whereby the product being drawn is shown from the side, the front and plan (above). This style of drawing is for the manufacturer to follow, during the making of the product.

An orthographic drawing is to a scale and has dimensions / measurements. The drawing should be so accurate, that it is possible for an engineer elsewhere in the world, to manufacture the product, without the need for further details.
