CONTROL STUDIO® to LIVEWIRE SOFTWARE® |
V. Ryan © 2004 |
Control Studio® allows the circuit designer to build circuits by using circuit building blocks. Once completed the circuit can be converted to a typical circuit diagram or to a PCB. |
1. In order to convert the modular circuit to a circuit diagram, Livewire® software must be running as well as Control Studio. Once the modular circuit is completed and tested, the TOOLS menu is selected. This menu allows the user to select various options. The CONVERT option is used to convert the modular circuit into a proper circuit diagram. |
2. Another menu appears and a number of selections can be made, such as, adding an ON/OFF switch and the type of power supply required. NEXT is then selected. |
3. When Control Studio® is ready to generate the circuit diagram, the software automatically detects that Livewire® software is running in the background. The NEXT icon is then selected. |
4. Livewire® takes over the operation and arranges all the necessary components into the final circuit diagram. This aspect is impressive to watch as the components are moved around on the screen and all the connections are made in a matter of seconds. |
5. The circuit can be tested in Livewire® by selecting the RUN icon at the top of the screen. Alterations or a complete redesign of the circuit can take place as Livewire® can be used to design and test new circuits as well as those imported from Control Studio®. |
