Being a good citizen is very important. A good
citizen is normally the type of person who works hard, helps others and
respects the law. When reading newspapers or listening to the radio or
watching TV, often it is the activities of bad citizens that are
publicised. Usually this means that crimes or poor behaviour are
reported because they make exciting news. However, we must remember that
most people are very good citizens. |
|
In the space below write a story about a good citizen that you think would be worth reporting in the local press (local newspaper, local radio or regional TV).The story can be fact or fiction. |

Ed takes his neighbour’s dogs 'Fast' and 'Slow' for walks everyday. His neighbour is in a wheelchair and cannot take his dogs out, but loves their company. Around the picture below, explain how Ed could help his neighbour in other ways. Two examples are already listed. |
